Keeway SR125 Vs Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 Vs TVS Raider 125 - Price, Specs, Features & More
While Keeway has launched quite a few motorcycles in India within a very short span of time, the two-wheeler manufacturer has now set its goal on the growing premium 125cc motorcycle segment. However, for the crown, it must compete against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and TVS Raider 125.
Design
Starting with the newest motorcycle, the Keeway SR125 comes with a pretty unique and quite attractive 'Retro' design theme. In fact, the design of the Keeway SR125 motorcycle is done in such a way that the motorcycle looks very much like modified two-stroke motorcycles from the late 80's and 90's.
In comparison, both the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and TVS Raider 125 motorcycles look very modern and sporty. While the design of the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 looks very premium as it looks almost identical to the bigger Bajaj NS200, however, the motorcycle design is starting to show its age in a few places.
On the other hand, the TVS Raider 125 motorcycle looks very fresh and the bright colour options further help the motorcycle stand out as well. In addition to that, the design of the TVS Raider 125 motorcycle looks busiest of the lot.
Features
The Keeway SR125 motorcycle comes with features such as a digital instrument cluster, telescopic front suspension, rear disc brakes, LED DRLs, LED tail lamp, LED turn indicators, 5-step adjustable rear suspension a large 310mm front disc brakes, side stand engine cut-off, a hazard switch, and a few more.
In comparison, the TVS Raider 125 also comes equipped well with features such as mono shocks at the rear, telescopic front suspension, digital instrument cluster, LED DRLs, LED headlights, LED tail lamps, optional USB charging socket, and a few more goodies.
The Bajaj Pulsar Pulsar NS125 comes with a very sporty and sophisticated perimeter frame, mono rear suspension, and front disc brakes, the Pulsar NS125 motorcycle comes out as the least equipped motorcycle in this comparison with its part analogue instrument cluster, and halogen lighting system.
Engine & Other Specifications
Starting with the Keeway SR125 motorcycle, the 125cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC engine produces just 9.7bhp of peak power and 8.2Nm of peak torque - Which is way less than the other two 125cc motorcycles in this comparison. However, it is also the lightest motorcycle of this lot weighing just 120 kilograms. Moreover, the Keeway SR125 also sports the largest fuel tank with a capacity of 14.5 litres.
In comparison, the Bajaj NS125 motorcycle is the most powerful in this comparison as its 124.45cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC engine produces 11.6bhp of peak power and 11Nm of peak torque. Moreover, it comes with a 5-speed gearbox. However, the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is the heaviest motorcycle by some margin as it weighs 144 kilograms. The fuel tank size stands at a respectable 12 litres.
The TVS Raider 125 on the other hand sports a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC engine with 11.2bhp of peak power and 11.2 NM of peak torque. This engine also comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. However, unlike the Bajaj Pulsar NS125, the Raider 125 weighs just 3 kilograms more than the Keeway SR125. In terms of fuel tank size, the TVS Raider 125 sports the smallest fuel tank at just 10 litres.
Price
The Keeway SR125 is easily the most expensive motorcycle in this company with a price tag of Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). On the other hand, the sporty Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is priced at Rs 1.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, the most affordable motorcycle is the TVS Raider 125 with a starting price of just Rs 85,973 (ex-showroom, Delhi) - Which is almost Rs 35,000 cheaper than the Keeway SR125 motorcycle.
Thoughts About Keeway SR125, Bajaj Pulsar NS125, & TVS Raider 125 Motorcycle
The Keeway SR125 motorcycle comes with a very good design and a not-so-shabby feature list. However, the engine specifications of the Hungarian motorcycle looks dull compared to its rivals. The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 on the other hand has started to show its age, but it comes with decent hardware. However, it is the TVS Raider 125 that offers the best overall package and also comes with a very aggressive price tag.
