Keeway SR125 Motorcycle Launched In India At Rs 1.19 Lakh - Brings Retro Charm To 125cc Segment
Keeway has launched the SR125 motorcycle in India at Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With the launch of the Keeway SR125 motorcycle, the Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer is bringing back the retro charm in the 125cc motorcycle segment.

The biggest talking point of the Keeway SR125 motorcycle is also the above-mentioned retro design theme as it is something new to the segment. In addition to that, the motorcycle also looks very much like modified two-stroke motorcycles from the late 80's and 90's as well - which is not a bad thing as the motorcycle seems to have achieved its intended looks.

"I am pleased to launch the all-new Keeway SR125. With the SR125, we aim to introduce the budding motorcycle enthusiast into the Keeway family. Its simple yet attractive, classic old school design, peppy, performance and uncomplicated operation is sure to resonate with those looking for a simple yet enjoyable riding experience," says Mr Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Keeway India.

At present, bookings for the Keeway SR125 motorcycles are underway and interested customers can book the 125cc retro motorcycle at any nearest Keewat dealership or website by paying an amount of Rs 1,000.

In addition to that, the deliveries of the Keeway SR125 retro motorcycles are said to commence from the last week of October 2022, and the test ride for the retro motorcycle will soon be available at all Benelli / Keeway dealerships in India within a few days.

According to Keeway, the newly launched Keeway SR125 motorcycle is available in three different colour options, this includes Glossy Black, Glossy Red, and Glossy White. In addition to that, the Keeway SR125 motorcycle incorporates many design elements to make the motorcycle look distinctly retro-ish in appearance.

Some of the notable design elements include a circular headlamp, turn indicators, tail lamps, instrument cluster with chrome surrounds, unhinged chrome fuel filler cap, cylindrical brake fluid reservoir, spoked wheels, black fork boots, knobbed tyres, ribbed seats and a few more.
In terms of features, the Keeway SR125 motorcycle comes equipped with LED DRLs, a hazard switch, a coloured digital instrument cluster, side stand engine cut-off, a 5-step adjustable rear suspension, a 300mm front disc brake, a 210mm rear disc brake, and a combi brake system.

Powering the Keeway SR125 motorcycle is a 125cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC engine. This engine produces 9.7bhp of peak power and 8.2Nm of peak torque. Apart from that, this powertrain comes with a 5-speed gearbox. Other note-worthy details include a 14.5-litre fuel tank, ground clearance of 160mm, and a kerb weight of 120kg.

Thoughts About The Keeway SR125 Motorcycle
Overall, the Keeway SR125 motorcycle will appeal to those who like retro motorcycles and the Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer has done a decent job of designing the motorcycle with all the right elements. However, it would have been better if the SR125 motorcycle came with a bit more power and torque, and a lower price tag to appeal more to younger buyers.
