Jawa 42 Tawang Edition Launch On November 6 – Limited To 100 Units
In a bid further gain popularity among riders, Classic Legends is gearing up to launch the Jawa 42 Tawang Edition motorcycle in India. The details about the launch of the Jawa 42 Tawang Edition motorcycle were shared via Twitter by Mr Anupam Thareja, co-founder of Classic Legends.

Speaking about the Jawa 42 Tawang Edition, the special edition motorcycle has been inspired by a mythical Tibetan creature from the pre-Buddhist era called Lungata or Wind Horse. This mythical creature is described of possessing the speed of the wind and the strength of the horse to carry prayers from earth to heaven.

Mr Thareja tweeted, "I'm excited to share this Special Edition Jawa for the #Tawangfestival, inspired by the mythical Lungta or wind horse. Only 100 of these will ever go into production, especially for the bikers of #Arunachal. Look forward to ride with you soon!". In this tweet, he also tagged Mr Pema Khandu, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, and Mr Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group.
Along with the tweet, Mr Thareja also shared a 30-second teaser video that revealed some interesting details on the upcoming special edition motorcycle and the launch date. In the video, it is also revealed that each of the 100 Jawa 42 Tawan Edition motorcycles will feature a unique bronze commemorative medallion with numbering on it.

Diving into the details revealed in the 30-second teaser video, the upcoming Jawa 42 Tawang Edition motorcycle will sport a matte black paint finish. In addition to that, the upcoming special edition motorcycle from Classic Legends also comes with a Lungata motif on the fender, along with special inscriptions on the side panels and the fuel tank.
Though a special edition motorcycle built in extremely limited numbers, we expect the upcoming Jawa 42 Tawang Edition motorcycle to sport identical mechanicals to the standard Jawa 42 motorcycle.

This means the upcoming Jawa 42 Tawang Edition motorcycle is likely to come equipped with the same tried-and-tested, 294cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 27bhp of peak power at 6,800rpm and 26.84Nm of torque at 5,000rpm in the standard Jawa 42 motorcycle. In addition to that, the special edition motorcycle is also expected to come with the same 6-speed gearbox with identical gear ratios.

At present, the standard version of the Jawa 42 motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom, India), we expect the upcoming Jawa 42 Tawang Edition motorcycle to command a premium of around Rs 20,000 over the standard motorcycle.

Thoughts About The Upcoming Jawa 42 Tawang Edition
