Honda Vario 160 MotoGP Edition Unveiled: Limited To Just 4 Units
While Honda recently launched the new Vario 160 scooter in Indonesia, the Japanese brand has also unveiled the MotoGP edition of the 160cc scooter. Moreover, the Honda Vario 160 MotoGP Edition will be limited to just 4 units.

This makes the Honda Vario 160 MotoGP Edition extremely rare. Moreover, out of the 4 units of the new Honda Vario 160 MotoGP Editions, two of these motorcycles will be used by Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro bearing their respective racing numbers. Whereas the other two Honda Vario 160 MotoGP Editions will be used by the paddock crew.

As for the Honda Vario 160 MotoGP Edition scooters, Honda has not made any mechanical upgrades. However, the visual update enhances the sporty appeal of the scooter.

Speaking about the design of the Honda Vario, the Honda Vario 160 is not a proper maxi-scooter. However, it does sport a large fender that makes it look like a maxi-scooter.

Apart from that, the Honda Vario 160 also features a flat footboard unlike the Yamaha Aerox 155 for added practicality. However, like the Yamaha Aerox 155 scooter, the Honda Vario 160 sports a very sharp styling with a raised tail section for sporty looks.

Thanks to the sporty nature of the Honda Vario 160, the 160cc scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels shod with 90/80 section rubber at the front and chunky 100/80section rubber at the rear. This setup not only benefits the scooter with added traction in corners but also improves the visual appeal.

In terms of features, the Honda Vario 160 gets features such as a fully digital instrument console, smart key, LED headlamps, USB charger, LED taillamps, dual-channel ABS with dual disc brakes, and a few more.

In terms of practicality, the Honda Vario 160 also gets a decent size underseat storage space at 18-litres. Thorough this space is adequate to store a medium-sized half-face helmet, it is still less than some smaller scooters that are on sale in the country.

Powering the Honda Vario 160 is a 157cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 15bhp and 13.4Nm of torque and this power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a CVT gearbox.

In Indonesia, Honda is offering the Vario 160 scooter in two variants and prices start from RP 2,58,00,000 (Approximately Rs 1.34 lakh) for the CBS variant and RP 2,85,00,000 (Approximately Rs 1.48 lakh) for the dual-channel ABS variant.

Thoughts About Honda Vario 160 MotoGP Edition
