Honda CRF300L Receives Mild Update For 2023 – Liquid-Cooled Engine & More

Honda has been teasing the CRF300L for quite some time now, but the Japanese two-wheeler giant is somewhat reluctant to launch the motorcycle in India.

That being said, the Honda CRF300L has now received a mild update for MY2023 and sports a few changes to make the motorcycle look a bit fresher and more contemporary than before.

Honda CRF300L Receives Mild Update For 2023

Diving into details, the MY2023 Honda CRF300L now sports black hand guards with the Swift Grey paint scheme. Moreover, this new colour scheme is exclusive to the MY2023 iteration of the ADV. On top of that, this relatively dark colour scheme gets a few splashes of orange colour on the fuel tank as well.

It is also worth mentioning that the MY2023 iteration of the Honda CRF300L motorcycle is also available in the classic Extreme Red colour scheme with white and blue splashes. With this colour scheme, the Honda CRF300L comes with Red hand guards as well, which neatly compliments the overall looks.

Speaking about the Honda CRF300L, the CRF model range in Honda's product portfolio refers to the two-wheeler manufacturer's motocross and dual-sport motorcycles. These motorcycles are designed from the ground up to tackle harsh terrains across the world and as a result, these motorcycles are very popular among off-road enthusiasts and adventure seekers.

In terms of hardware, the Honda CRF300L gets long travel mono shock suspension at the rear, a pair of 43mm USD forks at the front, 21-inch and 18-inch spoked wheels, engine guard, 256mm front disc brake, 220mm rear disc brake, retractable metal foot pegs, knobby tyres and much more.

In addition to that, the Honda CRF300L is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 27bhp of power and 26.6Nm of torque. Though power and torque figures may seem moderate, it is worth mentioning that the engine has been tuned to produce better low-end power and torque, which is more suited for a motorcycle of this category.

Complimenting the Honda CRF300L's powertrain is a short 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. On top of that, the Honda CRF300L motorcycle weighs in at just 142Kg, which makes it lighter than the Hero Xpulse 200. Also, the ground clearance of the Honda CRF300L motorcycle stands at a substantial 285mm.

If launched, the Honda CRF300L will be an exciting motorcycle and will rival the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310 GS, Yezdi Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan. It is also worth mentioning that the Honda CRF300L motorcycle also enjoys strong aftermarket support, thanks to its immense popularity.

Thoughts About The Honda CRF300L

The Honda CRF300L is a very purposeful-looking machine yet it also comes with a charm of simplicity. Moreover, the motorcycle looks very promising and it is the right time to launch an adventure motorcycle as the segment is appealing to a lot more audience these days. However, the success of the Honda CRF300L will heavily depend on the pricing - Which Honda is infamous for.
