Hero Opens 'Vida' Experience Centre In Bengaluru - Commences Test Rides

Hero Motocorp has commenced test rides for its electric Vida V1 lineup of scooters. Hero also opened up its first experience centre in the city of Bengaluru.

Hero Motocorp has commenced test rides for its electric Vida V1 lineup of scooters as it celebrates the opening of its first Vida Experience Centre in the city of Bengaluru.

The all-new Vida Experience Centre is located on Vittal Mallya Road in Bengaluru and covers 8,500 square feet. Hero will be opening experience centres in the cities of Delhi and Jaipur shortly as part of the phased launch of the Vida brand.

The Vida Experience Centre in Bengaluru shows off the V1 lineup of electric scooters that were launched last month. Along with the V1 Plus and V1 Pro electric scooters, the experience centre also shows off the charging setup for the two new electric scooters.

To make the new centre an interactive experience for customers walking in, the Vida Experience Centre in Bengaluru comes with an in-house coffee bar along with a library for those looking for a bit of quiet and peace. Customers will also be able to visualize their Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro electric scooters thanks to the production configurations on offer at the experience centre.

Hero's Vida lineup of electric scooters consists of two electric scooters - V1 Plus and V1 Pro. The V1 Plus is the more affordable of the two offerings at Rs 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom after subsidies, Bengaluru). The Vida V1 Plus offers up a range of 143km on a single charge of its 3.44kWh battery pack.

The V1 Pro is the more expensive of the two electric scooters at Rs 1.59 lakhs (ex-showroom after subsidies, Bengaluru). The Vida V1 Pro offers a range of 165km from its 3.94kWh battery pack.

Both the Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro feature a single electric motor with a peak output of 8.04bhp and 25Nm. The V1 Pro can go from 0-40km/h in just 3.2 seconds which is 0.2 seconds quicker than the V1 Plus. Both scooters have a top speed of 80km/h and support fast charging at a maximum speed of 1.2km/minute.

Speaking at the launch of the Vida Experience Centre in Bengaluru, Dr. Swadesh Srivastava, Head - Emerging Mobility Business Unit (EMBU), Hero MotoCorp: "Expanding our vision to shape the EV category and grow its scale, we are excited to open the first VIDA Experience Center. This is a manifestation of our vision to build experiences that create curiosity, meaningfulness and that people connect with. It's a one-of-its-kind experience that we are providing in the segment."

Hero's Vida lineup of electric scooters target the premium segment of the market and compete with the likes of the Ola S1 and S1 Pro and Ather's 450 lineup.
