Five Things About Honda CRF190L: Upcoming Hero Xpulse 200 Rival
Honda Motorcycle division recently patented the design of the upcoming Honda CRF190L motorcycle in India. The design patent hints at Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India (HMSI) interest to launch the CRF190L motorcycle in the Indian two-wheeler market.

So, here are five things you should know about the upcoming Honda CRF190L adventure motorcycle.
Design
In terms of the design, the Honda CRF190L motorcycle looks like a proper adventure motorcycle and the design seems to have been inspired by the larger Honda African Twin adventure motorcycle.

With the inspired design, the upcoming Honda CRF190L gets tall visor mounts and a flat headlamp cowl, which lends the motorcycle its adventure motorcycle looks. In addition to that, the Honda CRF190L sports similar yet simple side fairing, circular rearview mirrors and a segmented rectangular headlamp unit.
However, unlike the flagship Honda African Twin, the Honda CRF190L gets a large single-piece seat instead of the split-seat setup. To aid the practical side of an adventure motorcycle, Honda has provided the CRF 190L with a very practical grab rail that is integrated into the luggage rack.

Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, the Honda CRF190L is highly likely to be equipped with the same engine that powers other 200cc Honda Motorcycles such as the Honda CB200X and Honda Hornet 2.0.

This engine is a 184cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder unit that pushes out 17bhp of peak power at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. Also, expect this engine to sport a similar 5-speed gearbox as the Honda CB200X and Honda Hornet 2.0.
This powertrain will be plenty sufficient as the motorcycle just weighs somewhere around 145kgs.

Ergonomics
The Honda CRF190L is an entry-level adventure motorcycle and engineers at Honda have provided the motorcycle with a comfortable yet commanding seating position with mid-set footpegs and an upright handlebar.
This setup enables the rider to have a comfortable riding posture without having to stress any joints or muscles. Also, this setup enables the motorcycle to have very neutral handling.

Suspension, Frame & Tyres
The Honda CRF190L will sport an off-road-friendly long-travel telescopic suspension at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear. This set-up gives the entry-level adventure motorcycle with 241mm of ground clearance.
To further aid the off-road prowess of the Honda CRF190L, Honda has given the motorcycle 19-inch spoked wheels at the front and 17-inch spoked wheels at the rear.

Rivals
When launched, the Honda CRF190L will directly rival the Hero Xpulse 200. However, for that Honda must price the Honda CRF190L competitively. Apart from that, Honda will also rival the more road-biased Honda CB200X in India.

Thoughts About Honda CRF190L
The success of the Honda CRF190L in the Indian two-wheeler market will depend on the pricing, despite the motorcycle looking very promising on the paper.
