Ducati Multistrada V2 & V2 S Specs & Dimensions
Both the Ducati Multistrada V2 and V2 S are powered by the same 937cc Ducati Testastretta 11° L-twin engine with desmodromic distribution that produces 111.3bhp at 9,000rpm and 94Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm.
The engine in the new Multistrada V2 lineup features new connecting rods and is paired to a 6-speed transmission with straight cut gears. Also present is a new 8-disc hydraulic clutch along with a quickshifter to help riders punch through the gears.
The new 2022 Ducati Multistrada V2 lineup motorcycles feature multiple riding modes - Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro. The new Multistrada V2 motorcycles also feature 8-level traction control and three-way adjustable cornering ABS.
The Ducati Mutistrada V2 features a steel trellis frame setup with a 48mm upside down front fork and a monoshock at the rear. Both the front and rear suspension on the Multistrada V2 are fully adjustable and the rear also features a double sided aluminium swingarm.
The V2 S takes the suspension setup to a whole new level with Ducati's Skyhook Suspension EVO setup that electronically adjusts compression and rebound damping for both the front and rear suspension. Both the V2 and V2 S offer 170mm of wheel travel at both the front and rear.
Both the V2 and V2 S feature a 19-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch unit at the rear. The alloy wheels are shod with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres measuring 120/90 ZR 19 (front) and 170/60 ZR 17 (rear).
Braking duties are handled by a pair of 320mm disc brakes at the front that feature radially mounted Brembo monobloc 4-piston 2-pad callipers. Rear braking duties are taken care of by a single 265mm disc brake with 2-piston Brembo floating callipers. The front and rear brakes are aided by the adjustable cornering ABS setup.
Ducati Multistrada V2 & V2 S Design & Features
The Ducati Multistrada V2 lineup features a beak-like front end with aggressive LED headlights that comes equipped with Ducati's cornering lights function.
The brake lights are also LED units which automatically start flashing in the event of hard braking during an emergency stop. The LED turn indicators also automatically deactivate depending on the lean angle of the bike.
Other features exclusive to the V2 S model include the 5-inch colour TFT display that features an intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate the menu, cruise control, and the hands-free system.
Also present is Vehicle Hold Control, a feature which activates when the user, with the motorcycle stationary and with the side stand retracted, applies high pressure on the front brake lever or on the rear brake pedal and is able to keep the vehicle stationary by actively intervening on the rear brake. This feature turns off automatically after 30 seconds, if not used.
The Ducati Multistrada V2 and V2 S are both available in the Ducati Red paint scheme that also features a black frame and black wheel rims with red tags. The V2 S gets an additional livery option - Street Grey with black frame and "GP Red" wheel rims.
Thoughts On The Ducati Multistrada V2 and V2 S
The Ducati Multistrada V2 and V2 S are some of the most capable sports touring bikes around. While the prices are a bit on the higher end of the spectrum, both bikes pack a host of features which along with aura of the Ducati marque should ensure that these bikes run out of the showrooms easily.
