BMW G 310 RR Sales Cross 1,500 Units In 150 Days – Festive Season Helped Boost Sales
BMW Motorrad has announced that the company has now sold more than 1,500 units of its recently launched G 310 RR motorcycle in India.
In fact, record-breaking sales figures were achieved within 150 days since the launch of the G 310 RR motorcycle in India - Making the motorcycle the most successful model of the German manufacturer.
One of the reasons for the success of the BMW G 310 RR motorcycle could be attributed to the sales push achieved during the festive season. In fact, the German two-wheeler manufacturer previously claimed that more than 2,200 bookings were collected for the BMW G 310 RR motorcycle during the festive season.
At present, interested customers can book the new BMW G 310 RR motorcycle online as well as at authorised dealerships across India. Moreover, the deliveries of the BMW G 310 RR motorcycle is said to be carried out on a First Come First Serve basis to reduce complications in production and deliveries.
Speaking about the BMW G 310 RR, the motorcycle is powered by the same tried-and-tested 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that powers the TVS Apache RR310 motorcycle. This engine produces 34bhp of peak power at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. Moreover, this engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
That being said, BMW Motorrad has improved its market share in the competitive Indian two-wheeler market as the newly launched G 310 RR motorcycle successfully fended against its established rivals in the segment such as the TVS Apache RR310, KTM RC 390, and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
Earlier, BMW had launched two other single-cylinder motorcycles under the BMW 310 model series - the BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS. While the BMW G 310 R is a naked motorcycle, the BMW G 310 GS an ADV. However, none is as successful as the BMW G 310 RR.
