German motorcycle manufacturer BMW Motorrad has launched the new G 310 RR bike in India. Prices for the all-new BMW G 310 RR start at Rs 2.85 lakh.
BMW G 310 RR Price List & Colour Options
Prices for the BMW G 310 RR start at Rs 2.85 lakh for the Standard version of the bike. The Style Sport variant of the BMW G 310 RR sports bike commands a price tag of Rs 2.99 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).
BMW Motorrad India is already accepting bookings for the new G 310 RR. BMW is also offering easy financing options for potential G 310 RR owners with EMI plans starting as low as Rs 3,999 per month.
The BMW G 310 RR is offered in two basic colour options - White and Black.
BMW G 310 RR Specs
The BMW G 310 RR is powered by the same 312.2cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine that powers the rest of the G 310 lineup and the TVS RR310.
The BMW G 310 RR's engine produces 33.52bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm which is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox which is helped along by a slipper clutch. There are four riding modes on offer - Track, Sport, Urban and Rain.
The BMW G 310 RR features a steel trellis frame chassis with Showa USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The BMW G 310 RR rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with Michelin tyres. Braking duties are handled by regular disc brakes - 300mm front and 240mm rear - (not the petal style units found on the Apache RR310) on both ends that are clamped down by Bybre brake callipers and aided by dual-channel ABS.
BMW G 310 RR Design & Features
The BMW G 310 RR is in essence a rebadged version of the TVS Apache RR310 and the design of both bikes is identical. The BMW G 310 RR sports bi-LED projector headlights, a raked windscreen, golden painted USD front forks, and LED taillights.
The only major differences between the Apache and the new 310 RR seems to be the BMW badging and livery offered on the 'German' bike which reminds you of the ones seen on the larger Beemer supersport bikes. The 5-inch digital instrument display features BMW-specific graphics.
Alongside the new G 310 RR, BMW Motorrad has launched the 2022 versions of the G 310 R naked street bike and the G 310 GS adventure motorcycle. Both bikes are now Rs 5,000 dearer at Rs 2.70 and Rs 3.10 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Both bikes feature three new colour options each.
Thoughts About The BMW G 310 RR
The BMW G 310 RR sees the German marque spawn its own version of the TVS Apache RR310 which should help boost its sales numbers both here in India and abroad. The bike is unchanged compared to its TVS sibling which is nearly 20k less expensive to own, however, the badge on the fairing should be more than enough to draw customers into showrooms.
