The partnership between BattRE and Bounce will give owners of the former's four electric scooters the ability to ride to a battery swapping station operated by Bounce and easily swap out their current, low on power battery pack for a fully charged unit.
BattRE currently offers 4 scooters to its customers along with two electric bicycles. The battery packs on the 4 scooters vary between 1.15kWh and 1.44kWh. This allows for ranges between 60 and 85 kilometres on a single charge.
The 4 scooter lineup is actually two variants each of two scooters, with both scooters featuring a model with smart features added on as part of a subscription pack. The subscription pack which costs Rs 1,200 annually adds features like GPS tracking, navigation assist, geo fencing and trip reports among others.
Bounce Infinity plans to have its battery swapping stations at easy to reach locations like residential societies, key parking spaces, fuel bunks, malls, corporate offices, fuel stations, and kirana stores among other places. With the widespread reach of its battery swapping network, Bounce hopes to make range anxiety a thing of the past for electric two-wheeler owners.
Thoughts On BattRE Joining Bounce Infinity's Battery Swapping Network
The addition of BattRE to Bounce Infinity's battery swapping network shows just how valuable the setup is for electric vehicle manufacturers here in India. With the ability to swap batteries in around 2 minutes could very well become the gamechanger needed to help EVs become mainstream in India.
