Bajaj Platina 110 ABS – Top 5 Things
Bajaj recently launched the Platina 110 ABS motorcycle in India, making it the first motorcycle in its segment to feature ABS.
Though the Government of India mandates the use of ABS on motorcycles with engine displacement above 125cc, this is a much-welcomed addition. As such, here are the top 5 things you should know about the Platina 110 ABS.
Price
Bajaj has launched the new Platina 110 ABS motorcycle in India at Rs 72,224 (ex-showroom, India). This means the newly launched Bajaj Platina 110 ABS motorcycle is Rs 3,680 more expensive than the standard variant of Bajaj Platina 110 motorcycle, which is a justifiable price hike over the standard model.
Engine & Gearbox
In terms of powertrain, the newly launched Bajaj Platina 110 ABS motorcycle is powered by a 115.45cc, single-cylinder, petrol engine. This powertrain is tuned produce a respectable 8.54bhp of peak power at 7,000rpm and 9.81Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. On top of that, the new Bajaj Platina 110 ABS motorcycle comes with a 5-speed gearbox.
Features
One of the biggest highlights and USP of the newly launched Bajaj Platina 110 ABS is that it is the only motorcycle in its segment to come equipped with Anti-Lock Braking System which prevents the brakes from locking up when braking hard. As a result, the motorcycle is a lot more safer to ride.
On top of that, the new Bajaj Platina 110 ABS motorcycle also comes with a few modern features such as telescopic front suspension, a digital speedometer, alloy wheels, gas-charged twin rear shocks, clear lens headlamp, LED DRL, front disc brake and a few more.
It is also worth mentioning that the digital speedometer that comes with nifty features such an integrated ABS indicator, gear position indicator and a gear change indicator. Moreover, the newly launched Bajaj Platina 110 ABS motorcycle comes with a single-channel ABS unit to prevent the lock-up of front wheels.
Colours
In terms of colour options, the newly launched Bajaj Platina 110 ABS motorcycle comes with four new colour options - Gloss Pewter Grey, Cocktail Wine Red, Ebony Black, and Saffire Blue. Apart from that, the newly launched motorcycle also comes with a set of very attractive-looking body graphics as well.
Competition
The newly launched Bajaj Platina 110 ABS motorcycle competes against the likes of other commuter motorcycles in India such as the Honda CD 110 Dream Deluxe, Hero Passion Pro, and TVS Star City Plus. On top of that, Bajaj Platina 110 ABS will also compete against the standard variant of the motorcycle.
