Bajaj Launches Pulsar NS200 As Dominar 200 – Gets USD Forks & More

Bajaj has launched the Pulsar NS200 motorcycle as Dominar 200 in Brazil with some very noticeable cosmetic and mechanical upgrades.

Speaking about Bajaj, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is one of the biggest motorcycle manufacturers in the world and the automaker is also the largest exporter of motorcycles in the world.

Bajaj Launches Pulsar NS200 As Dominar 200

Diving into details, the Bajaj Dominar 200 does sport some changes compared to the Indian-spec Bajaj Pulsar NS200 motorcycle. In fact, some of these changes include cosmetic and mechanical as well. These changes ensure the Bajaj Dominar 200 stays competitive in the Brazilian two-wheeler market.

Starting with the design, the Bajaj Dominar 200 uses the same basic design as the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 motorcycle, which again uses the same basic design from 2012. However, Bajaj has somehow managed to make the Dominar 200 look somewhat modern and contemporary with its revised graphics.

On top of that, Bajaj is now using 3D 'Dominar 200' badges on the fuel tank. Though a very small change, it does make the Bajaj Dominar 200 a bit more premium. On top of that, the usage of perimeter frame and mono rear suspension is also helping the motorcycle look modern and up to current standards.

Coming to the mechanical changes, the Bajaj Dominar 200 gets 33mm USD forks instead of conventional telescopic forks from the Indian-spec Bajaj Pulsar NS200 motorcycle. Thanks to this upgrade, the new Bajaj Dominar 200 not only looks more attractive but we expect this upgrade to also affect the handling of the motorcycle positively.

Powering the Bajaj Dominar 200 motorcycle is the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder engine as in the Pulsar NS200 motorcycle. However, the engine in the Dominar 200 puts out 0.1Nm more torque at 18.8Nm, but the power figures remain the same as the Indian-spec Pulsar NS200 at 24bhp. Other than that, the Dominar 200 comes equipped with the same 6-speed gearbox.

Thoughts About Bajaj Dominar 200

With the launch of the Bajaj Dominar 200 motorcycle in Brazil, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is keenly looking forward to increasing its foothold in the developing international markets. Also, having presence in multiple countries will help Bajaj understand the global requirements better and launch better motorcycles in the future.
