Bajaj Dominar 250 Mildly Updated: Gets New Alloy Wheels
Bajaj has mildly updated the 250cc variant of the Bajaj Dominar motorcycle in India and the new Bajaj Dominar 250 now sports a pair of blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheels.
However, the design of the new alloy wheels is similar to the earlier unit and the motorcycle remains largely identical to the previous one.
In terms of design, the Bajaj Dominar 250 looks very similar to the Bajaj Dominar 400, and thanks to the latest update on the Dominar 400 which adds the touring accessories as standard, differentiating both motorcycles have become easier.
The Bajaj Dominar 250 is available in three different colour options - Racing Red with Matte Silver, Sparkling black with Matte Silver, and Citrus Red with Matte Silver.
In terms of features, as we know that Bajaj motorcycles come well-equipped and the Dominar 250 is no different. The quarter-litre motorcycle comes with features such as a fully digital instrument console, LED headlights, LED taillamps, sporty-looking rearview mirrors, LED turn indicators, USD forks at the front, single-side twin-barrel exhaust, split seats and many more.
In addition to that, the Bajaj Dominar 250 is an easy motorcycle to ride as the saddle height is set at a very convenient 800mm.
Powering the Bajaj Dominar 250 is the same engine that powers the KTM Duke 250. However, Bajaj has tuned the engine differently to suit the character of the Dominar 250.
This means the 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC unit now produces a slightly lower 26.6bhp of peak power at a lower 8,500rpm. Moreover, the torque now stands at 23.5Nm at 6,500rpm.
This power and torque is sent to rear wheels via a 6-speed transmission with slipper and assist clutch. This powertrain enables the 180kg Dominar to reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 10.5 seconds and attain a top speed of 132km/h.
Other specs of the new Baja Dominar 250 includes 10/80 section tyres at the front, 130/70 section tyres at the rear, 37-mm USD forks and a multistep adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Bajaj Dominar 250 rivals the likes of other quarter-litre Japanese motorcycles such as the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Yamaha FZ25 in India.
Thoughts About Bajaj Dominar 250
Though the new update on the Bajaj Dominar 250 is barely an update, it does add a bit of style to the motorcycle and makes the motorcycle look a bit younger and sinister.
