Ather April 2022 Sales Report - YoY Sales Grow By Over 255%

As per the sales numbers released by Ather Energy, the electric scooter manufacturer from Bangalore sold 2,715 more electric vehicles in April 2022 compared to the same period last year. In April 2021, Ather Energy sold 1,064 electric scooters across the country.

Month-over-Month sales numbers were also up significantly with Ather's April numbers rising by 45.85 per cent (1,188 units) when compared to March's numbers. Last month, Ather sold a total of 2,591 scooters.

Speaking about the exponential growth experienced by Ather Energy, the marque's Chief Business Officer, Ravneet S. Phokela stated "After a strong start to the financial year, we have registered the highest ever monthly sales figures, delivering 3779 scooters in April 2022 registering a growth of 255% over same month last year. Again, the number of deliveries is a fraction of the pre-orders due to unprecedented challenges on the supply chain side including components shortage. The high demand for our scooters reiterates the fact that consumers have strong faith in our well engineered, reliable and safe 450X and 450 Plus scooters. We also continue our efforts to create a favourable EV ecosystem by partnering with Statiq and Park+ to enhance charging infrastructure across the country. In April, we continued to expand our retail footprint and we added three new markets of Tirur, Malappuram and Aurangabad, taking the total number of Experience Centres to 37 in 31 cities in the country."

April 2022 was quite an eventful year for Ather Energy as the electric two-wheeler manufacturer announced tie-ups with charging infrastructure providers Statiq and Park+.

The tie-up with Statiq will see the two companies partner up and share their networks in North India with a special emphasis on the Delhi NCR region. Ather's collaboration with Park+ will see the two companies team up to set up the Ather Grid fast-charging network in India's financial capital Mumbai.

Ather also opened three new dealerships across India in April 2022. The electric scooter manufacturer opened one dealership in Maharashtra's Aurangabad. Ather also opened two new Experience Centres (Ather's terminology for dealerships) in Kerala in the cities of Tirur and Malappuram.

Ather Energy continues to grow from strength to strength. The Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer had a record-breaking April as thousands across the country continue to go electric. Hopefully, Ather will continue to enjoy more record-breaking months.
