All-New Royal Enfield Bullet 350 To Be Launched Soon - New Engine, Chassis, Features & More

Recently, this new J-series platform has been utilised to make the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 motorcycle as well. At present, Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch the new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 in the country, and the two-wheeler manufacturer had also released a few teasers that hint at the launch of the new Bullet 350 motorcycle in India, one of the teaser videos was shot with a background poster containing the words "Bullet Meri Jaan".

Unlike other Royal Enfield models, Royal Enfield has to take some additional care in making the new Bullet motorcycle. Not because of any technical restrictions, but because of 'emotional' restrictions as it is one of the oldest motorcycle nameplates in the world and the model has a very loyal fan base in the country.

For a motorcycle with such a heritage, it is crucial for Royal Enfield to bring changes and upgrades in such a way that it should not interfere much with the 'Soul' of the motorcycle.

Starting with the design, as per the few spied images of the upcoming new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle, it can be said that the company has introduced changes to the motorcycle but in a very subtle way.

This meant, designers at Royal Enfield retained the original design traits of the Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle such as the single-piece stepped seat, retro-style headlamps and tail lights. Moreover, these traits have been updated to suit the new motorcycle. In addition to these changes, the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle will also sport a very commanding upright seating position - Which is a characteristic trait of the Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle since it was introduced by the manufacturer in 1931.

Coming to this new platform, the upcoming updated model of the Bullet 350 motorcycle will feature a few modern touches including a new double cradle frame, new suspension setup, improved braking hardware, and switchgear from the outgoing Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Royal Enfield Meteor 350 motorcycles.

In terms of powertrain, the upcoming all-new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle will be powered by the same 349cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected petrol engine that powers the outgoing J-series Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Royal Enfield Meteor 350 motorcycles.

This engine is capable of producing 20.2bhp of peak power and 27Nm of torque. In addition to that, this engine uses a 5-speed gearbox like other Royal Enfield J-series motorcycles. However, we are not sure whether the Royal Enfield has re-tuned the gear ratios for the Bullet motorcycle.

Unlike the outgoing model, we expect the upcoming iteration of the Bullet 350 motorcycle to feature an electric starter as a standard fitment. In addition to this, the upcoming iteration of the Royal Enfield 350 motorcycle will also sport essential features such as a single-channel ABS, front disc brakes, telescopic front suspension,gas-charged rear suspension, and a basic analogue instrument console. However, we do not expect to see features such as the 'Tripper' module on the updated model to keep the prices in check. However, dual-channel ABS could be available as an optional extra.

Thoughts About The Upcoming All-New Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Motorcycle

While the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is not a motorcycle that can break sales records, it does hold the heritage of the brand. As such, keeping the 'Bullet' nameplate alive is crucial for the company in many ways. So, the launch of the 2022 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is much more than just a 'profit-making' product for the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer in the country.
