350cc Motorcycle Sales Breakup – September 2022
Royal Enfield continues to be a dominant player in the 350cc two-wheeler segment in India with a growing market share. This trend continues to be true with the YoY sales and MoM sales figures going up for Royal Enfield motorcycles. Moreover, the launch of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 motorcycle has also helped the company improve its sales figures by a decent margin.

It is also worth mentioning that the Royal Enfield models such as the Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Bullet, and Electra form a little more than 90 per cent of total Royal Enfield sales in the country. Moreover, these motorcycles registered a 190 per cent YoY sales growth in September 2022.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 (27,571 units)
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 continues to be the best-selling 350cc motorcycle in India as the company managed to sell 27,571 units of the motorcycle in the country. Moreover, the model has registered 100 per cent YoY sales growth as well
In comparison, MoM sales figures for the motorcycle have also witnessed an increase in sales as the company managed to sell 8,578 units more compared to the sales figures achieved in August 2022, resulting in a MoM sales increase of more than 45 per cent.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 (17,118 units)
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 quickly gained traction in the Indian two-wheeler market with the interest of many young customers. Moreover, the Hunter 350 is currently the second best-selling Royal Enfield in the country as the company managed to sell 17,118 units in September 2022.
However, the MoM sales figures have now settled after the initial sales push with an almost 6 per cent decline in MoM sales figures.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 (10,840 units)
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is an amazing motorcycle for anyone who loves riding long distances as the motorcycle comes with excellent touring capabilities. Moreover, the company is managing to rack up consistent sales figures with 10,840 units being sold in September 2022.
Moreover, YoY sales figures for the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 increased by more than 75 per cent, whereas the MoM sales figures for the motorcycle is up by almost 16 per cent.

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 (8,755 units)
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is an iconic motorcycle and the model has a very loyal fan base in the country. However, sales figures are average compared to the Classic 350 motorcycle at just 8,755 units in September 2022.
In comparison, Royal Enfield sold 2,107 units of Bullet 350 motorcycles in September 2021, resulting in a YoY sales increase of more than 315 per cent. Moreover, MoM sales figures for the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle have improved by almost 15 per cent.

Royal Enfield Electra 350 (4,174 units)
The Royal Enfield Electra 350 is a motorcycle that has a lot of character to it and many Royal Enfield fanboys like the motorcycle for its simplicity. In September 2022, Royal Enfield sold 4,174 units of Electra 350 motorcycles in India, resulting in a 521 per cent increase in YoY sales figures.
Moreover, MoM sales figures for the Royal Enfield Electra 350 motorcycle has also improved by almost 2 per cent as the company managed to sell 4,104 units in August 2022.

Honda CB 350 (3,980 units)
The Honda CB 350 range of motorcycles is Honda's attempt at getting a small chunk out of the Royal Enfield's business and Honda has done a decent job at it - Much closer than other competitors.
In September 2022, Honda sold 3,980 units of the Honda CB 350 range of motorcycles in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of almost 33 per cent, whereas MoM sales increased by more than 7 per cent.

Thoughts About The 350cc Motorcycle Sales Figures In September 2022
The demand for Royal Enfield motorcycles is improving in the Indian two-wheeler market and the launch of the Hunter 350 has helped this demand by a decent margin. We also expect Honda to do much better if they priced their motorcycles a bit more competitively.
