2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 Spied - Could Feature A More Powerful Engine
2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle has been spotted testing. However, analysing the spied images, the motorcycle seems to be in the initial stages of testing and the launch could happen only next year.

In terms of design, TVS seems to be using identical body panels as the outgoing model, and as a result, the test mule looks very similar to the current-gen TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle. However, the exhaust on the motorcycle is completely different.

Given the new exhaust, we expect the test mule TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle could be testing a more powerful engine. Other than that, TVS could also be tuning the exhaust for a better exhaust note.
At present, the outgoing iteration of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle is the most powerful motorcycle in its segment. Going by the expectation, the new engine could make even more power and torque. If so, the upcoming new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle could be one of the most exciting 160cc motorcycles in the country.

The outgoing TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle uses a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine produces a class-leading 17.39bhp of peak power at 9,250rpm and 14.73Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. Also, this engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
In addition to that, the upcoming TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle may come with advanced features such as multiple ride modes as well, and also feature the current model's Glide Through Traffic (GTT) technology as well.

Though the spied test mule does not sport any exterior updates other than the stubby-looking exhaust, we expect the finished model to feature plenty of design upgrades as the model has already started to look a bit old nowadays.
Moreover, the new update could even feature exterior design traits such as a more powerful projector LED headlamps, split seats, and redesigned tail lamp. In addition to these, TVS could also offer a new digital instrument cluster with more information and better graphics.

Earlier, TVS had launched the special edition Apache RTR 165 RP, where the 'RP' moniker stands for 'Race Performance'. This iteration of the motorcycle is the higher-performing variant of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
The engine in the TVS Apache RTR 165 RP produces 18.93bhp of peak power at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm.

Looking at these figures and the timeline of the launch, there are high chances that TVS could use this engine in their upcoming 2023 TVS Apache RTR '160' 4V motorcycle. Thanks to the larger engine, the motorcycle could produce more power without stressing the engine.

Thoughts About 2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V
The upcoming TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is likely to sport an improved powertrain. However, we are not sure how TVS will improve its already impressive engine. Moreover, expect some added features as well.
