2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lineup Revealed With Up To 217bhp On Tap - Naked Aggression Redefined
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has revealed the 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 lineup. The lineup includes the updated V4 and V4 S models and a new track-focused SP2 variant.
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has revealed the Streetfighter V4 lineup. The 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 lineup includes the updated V4 and V4 S and a new track-focused SP2 model.
The Ducati V4 lineup draws power from the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale 90-degree V4 engine that produces 205bhp at 13,000rpm and 123Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm.
An optional Titanium race exhaust system ups the power to 217bhp but is only legal for racing purposes.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox which sports straight-cut gears and Ducati's Quick Shift Evo 2 quickshifter for faster (up and down) shifts. While the V4 and V4 S feature a wet slipper clutch, the track-focused SP2 uses a dry slipper clutch setup.
The suspension setup is also where the regular V4 and V4 S models differ from the V4 SP2. The V4 and V4 S models sport 43mm fully adjustable front forks from Showa and a fully adjustable Sachs mono-shock at the rear. The V4 SP2 takes its suspension setup from the Panigale V4 with a 43mm Ohlins NIX30 fully adjustable front fork and an Ohlins TTx36 mono-shock at the rear both of which feature electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment.
The V4 and V4 S models ride on lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels while the SP2 model switches them out for carbon-fibre units that help save an extra 1.4 kilogrammes. All three bikes feature Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres - 120/70 ZR 17 (front) and 200/60 ZR 17 (rear).
Braking duties on the V4 lineup are handled by twin 330mm discs with 6-piston callipers at the front and a single 245mm disc at the rear clamped down by 2-piston callipers.
While the V4 and V4 S models use Brembo's Monobloc Stylema (M4.30) callipers at the front the V4 SP2 uses more race-oriented Monoblock Stylema R callipers from the same supplier.
Along with the usual riding modes, the new Streetfighter V4 lineup features 4 power modes lifted directly from the new Panigale V4 models. These power modes - Full, High, Medium and Low - adjust the power levels available to the rider who now also has access to a Wet riding mode for adventures in the rain.
Other changes come in the form of a larger 17-litre fuel tank, a new Track Evo setup for the dashboard and new engine braking software that are all once again lifted directly from the Panigale V4 once again.
The Panigale V4 is only offered in the Ducati Red shade while the V4 S adds the Grey Nero livery to the options list.
The Panigale V4 SP2 is only offered in the Winter Test Livery inspired by the ones found on Ducati's race bikes during the pre-season tests for the MotoGP and SBK championships. The winter test livery is a combination of Matt black and matt carbon with bright red accents and the exposed brushed aluminium finish for the fuel tank.
