2022 Yamaha R3 Updated With New Colour Option
Yamaha has announced the launch 2022 Yamaha R3 motorcycle with an updated colour scheme. This new 2022 Yamaha R3 with the updated colour scheme is designated for the Taiwan market.
According to sources, the 2022 Yamaha R3 with its new Orange paint scheme will be sold alongside other colour options such as Midnight Black and Racing Blue.
Speaking about the new Orange paint scheme on the Yamaha R3, the bright colour helps the motorcycle stand out, and the dual-tone finish with the grey lower half accentuates the sporty nature of the motorcycle.
The Orange colour features on the fuel tank, front fender and the upper half of the fairing. Apart from that, the new Yamaha R3 is similar to other Yamaha R3s with its signature twin-pod headlights and fairing-mounted rearview mirrors.
The rest of the motorcycle is almost identical to the outgoing unit with an identical side-slung exhaust with a brushed-aluminium finish on the tip, split alloy wheels, and a few more.
Apart from that, the Yamaha R3 comes with features such as USD forks at the front, adjustable mono-shock at the rear, LED headlights, LED taillamps, LCD instrument cluster, ABS and a few more tech.
The heart of the Yamaha R3 continues to be the same 321cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This engine produces 40.4bhp of peak power at 10,750rpm and 29.4Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. This engine sends all its power and torque to rear wheels via a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch.
Though the Yamaha R3 is currently not available in India, it was once launched way back in 2015 with a price tag of Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India). At that time, it was available in two colour options - Racing Blue, and Black Lightning.
However, the Yamaha R3 was soon discontinued as the engine couldn't be modified to meet the stringent BS-VI emission standards.
Though Yamaha has discontinued the sale of Yamaha R3 in India, its baby brother, the Yamaha R15 is still available in the market and the model is available in both V3 and V4 versions.
Apart from that, the Yamaha R15 is available in a more practical single-seat variant called 'Yamaha R15S'. In addition to this, Yamaha R15 V4 is available in two more guises in addition to the standard variant - MotoGP Edition and R15M.
Thoughts About The Yamaha R3
It would be great if Yamaha could relaunch the Yamaha R3 in India as it would be a worthy competitor to the KTM RC390 in the country. Apart from that, the high-revving parallel-twin engine has always been a dream for many budding enthusiasts in the country.
