This EV range is very essential for Husqvarna as a company. This is due to a global-level transition to electric mobility in near future and many automotive giants have released tentative schedules to become fully electrified or at least partially electrified to a certain extent.

As we know Husqvarna motorcycles have some of the quirkiest design languages, the new EV concepts from the brand is not any different.

Let's start with Husqvarna's electric scooter. The concept electric scooter from Husqvarna is based on the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter but looks nothing alike and it is named 'Vektorr'.

This is because Husqvarna has implemented its own design over the concept scooter. Design-Wise, the concept electric scooter from Husqvarna looks as of designed by two different designers and merged later, but in a good way.

Whereas the front-end houses the circular headlamp that is the signature of Husqvarna Motorcycles, the rear and the side portion of the Husqvarna Vektorr is dominated by flat-geometric shapes. Even the seat is flat and looks almost parallel to the floorboard.

However, if this scooter enters production, expect the seats to be a bit more sculpted and rounded to accommodate a human rider.

Apart from this, the Husqvarna Vektorr uses glossy black panels at the front section and matte-white panels at the rear half. Completing the quirky design is fluorescent highlights around the edges of a few panels and wheels.

Even though the Husqvarna Vektorr is based on the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter, few changes have been made underneath in order to limit the top speed to just 45kmph.

This change has been introduced with European markets in mind as it will except riders from requiring a special motorcycle license.

Though not much regarding the powertrain has been revealed, we expect Husqvarna to use a somewhat similar powertrain to Bajaj Chetak electric scooter albeit with different mapping.

Since Husqvarna Vektorr is an electric scooter and based on Bajaj Chetak electric scooter, expect the range on a full charge to be anywhere around 90-120kms. In other words, more than plenty for its intended purpose as a stylish city runabout.

Now coming to the Husqvarna's electric motorbike, it is named Husqvarna E-Pilen and looks somewhat similar to the current Husqvarna Vitpilen.

However, there are more than enough differences in the Husqvarna E-Pilen to let others know that you are an eco-freak.

For starters, it is the lack of noise and the absence of exhaust, then the tank which extends forward to partially cover the USD front forks, and the most noticeable being the pillion seat that mimics the sides of the tank.

Powering the Husqvarna E-Pilen is a not-so electrifying 10.6 bhp electric motor driving the rear wheels via chain. However, being electric expect some big torque numbers. Husqvarna claims that the E-Pilen can do 100 kms on a single charge.

Even though Husqvarna has not given any details regarding the performance, we expect the Husqvarna E-Pilen to do reach a top speed of 80-100 kmph while providing seamless and punchy acceleration.

Thoughts about Husqvarna electric scooter and motorbike

The Husqvarna Vektorr and Husqvarna E-Pilen are definitely the future. However, compared to the current crop of conventionally powered motorcycles and scooters, Husqvarna still needs to lot on the electric powertrain.
