Yamaha FZ 25 & FZS 25 BS6 Arrives At Dealerships: Deliveries Could Begin Soon
The Yamaha FZ 25 and the FZS 25 BS6 motorcycles have been launched recently in the Indian market. Both motorcycle receive a few cosmetic updates and an updated engine the complies with the latest emission norms.

A recent video posted by MRD Vlogs on YouTube reveals both motorcycles arriving at dealerships. The deliveries of the BS6 motorcycle could commence soon across the country.

The updated FZ 25 and the FZS 25 motorcycles retail at Rs 1.52 lakh and 1.57 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi) respectively. Despite getting a price increase of Rs 15,000 over its BS4 counterparts, both motorcycles remain one among the most affordable in the segment.

The BS6 motorcycles feature few cosmetic changes over the previous model. The BS6 Yamaha FZ 25's styling has been slightly revised from the older model. The changes include a new headlamp cluster with the bi-functional LED unit.

Others changes include a negative LCD for the instrument console, an underbelly cowl, and a side-stand engine cut-off. The FZ 25 will be offered in two colour options: Metallic Black and Racing Blue.

To tell it apart from the standard motorcycle, the FZS 25 features some changes. This includes a pair of knuckle guards and a longer visor. It will also feature three paint schemes unique to the motorcycle, which are Dark Cyan and Dark Blue with alloy wheels finished in gold colour and Metallic White with black coloured alloys.

Apart from the cosmetic changes, both motorcycles are powered by an updated version of the same air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected 249cc engine, which powered the BS4 models. The engine now produces a maximum of 20.6bhp at 8000rpm and a peak torque of 20.1Nm at 6000rpm. The engine comes mated to a standard five-speed transmission.

Other mechanical on the FZ 25 twins are expected to be carried forward from the previous model as well. These include telescopic suspension at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear. Braking duties will be handled by disc brakes at both ends supported by dual-channel ABS.

The Yamaha FZ 25 & the FZS 25 will rival the KTM Duke 250, the Suzuki Gixxer 250, the Husquvarna Savrtpilen and the Vitpilen, and the recently launched Bajaj Dominar 250. Within a year three new models have been added to the 250cc category, the segment is becoming highly competitive in India.
