In terms of design, the 2020 Yamaha Bolt features a tear-drop shaped fuel tank, the motorcycle features minimal graphics with clean body panels. The Yamaha Bolt cruiser offers a low seat height of just 690mm, giving the riders a comfortable and relaxed riding position. The 2020 Yamaha Bolt cruiser is offered in a range of two variants: Standard and R. The difference between the two variants is noticeable in the wheels and suspension setup. The Standard variant features spoke wheels while the ‘R' variant gets cast alloy rims. The Yamaha Bolt R also comes with gold highlights on the suspension setup, giving it a sportier look; something the standard variant misses out on.

The suspension on the 2020 Yamaha Bolt cruiser is handled by 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a set of dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by single discs at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS as standard.
