Bajaj Avenger Street 220 Discontinued In India: Unlisted From Website
The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street has been discontinued in the Indian market. The company has removed the urban-cruiser motorcycle from its website.

The Avenger 220 Street did not receive BS6 engine updates from the company, and as a result, the motorcycle will not be available any more. Bajaj had stopped shipping the urban-cruiser to its dealerships across the country during March this year.

The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street was powered by an air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder 220cc engine producing 19bhp and 17.5Nm of torque. The engine came mated to a standard five-speed gearbox.

The Bajaj Avenger range of motorcycles offers comfortable and relaxed riding ergonomics, a long and well-cushioned single-seat, forward-mounted footpegs, and a raised & wide handle-bar.

The 220cc urban-cruiser motorcycle also featured round headlamps, an instrument cluster, and horizontally-mounted LED tail-lamps. It also featured alloy wheels, and a blacked-out paint scheme with red highlights on the fuel tank and side panels.

Suspension duties on the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street were handled by a telescopic fork at the front, and twin-shock absorbers at the rear. Braking on the motorcycle was catered for via a disc brake at the front, and drum brake setup at the rear, and was supported by single-channel ABS.

The Bajaj Avenger Street 220 had no direct rivals in the Indian market, however, the urban-cruiser was an affordable option for riders looking to buy a motorcycle that offered a relaxed and comfortable riding position.

While the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street has been discontinued in India, the company still offers the Avenger 160 Street BS6, and the Avenger 220 Cruise BS6 cruiser motorcycles in the country.

Thoughts About The Bajaj Avenger Street 220 Discontinued In India
The Avenger Street 220 was a good city bike and highway cruiser, and will surely be missed by fans. The company may have discontinued the model because of poor sales among other reasons. For now, buyers still have the Avenger 160cc and the Avenger 220cc motorcycles to choose from.
