Techno Electra EV Range Prices Reduced: New Prices Now Start At Rs 41,557
Techno Electra, the Pune-based e-scooter manufacturer which recently launched in India, has reduced the prices of its three electric scooter offerings. The e-scooter manufacturer currently sells three models: Neo, Raptor & Emerge in India.
The three electric scooters from Techno Electra are now priced at Rs 41,557, Rs 57,423 and Rs 68,106 for the Neo, Raptor and Emerge, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom (Pune). This is a price reduction of Rs 2,410 on the Neo; Rs 3,348 on the Raptor and Rs 4,141 for the range-topping Emerge.
Models | New Price | Old Price | Different |
Neo | 41,557 | 43,967 | -2,410 |
Raptor | 57,423 | 60,771 | -3,348 |
Emerge | 68,106 | 72,247 | -4,141 |
Techno Electra has stated that price reduction is partly due to the reduction in GST rates on EVs in the Indian market. The government had recently reduced the GST on electric vehicles from 12% to 5% in the Indian market, which has led many EV manufacturers in the Indian market to reduce the prices of their products.
All three electric scooters from Techno Electra are powered by the same 250-watts BLDC electric motor. While the Neo and the Raptor are powered by lead-acid batteries, the range-topping Emerge is offered with a Lithium-ion battery pack.
The Neo and the Raptor take around 7 hours for a complete charge, while the Emerge takes around 3 to 4 hours to charge its batteries completely. The Techno Electra Neo offers a maximum range of 65km on a single charge. The Raptor and Emerge, on the other hand, offer a maximum range of 85km and 80km, respectively.
Both the Raptor and Emerge electric scooters come with disc brakes at the front, while the base Neo model features drum brakes at both ends. Other common features on the three electric scooters include LED headlamps, reversing function, USB charging ports and central locking. The Emerge further features an LCD instrument display.
Thoughts On The Techno Electra (Electric) Scooter Price Reduction
Techno Electra recently introduced their electric scooters in the Indian market. The three electric scooters from the Pune-based brand rival the likes of the e-scooters from Hero Electric and Ampere. The company is looking at further expansion to Tier-II and Tier-III cities for deeper market penetration.
