Bajaj Auto is all set to introduce its new electric vehicle sub-brand, 'Urbanite' in the Indian market. The Bajaj Urbanite will be the brand's new electric mobility division, for all its EVs going forward.
Apart from the introduction of the Bajaj Urbanite brand, the company is also said to unveil its first electric scooter for the Indian market. However, it is still unclear if the new electric scooter from Bajaj will also be called Urbanite or will carry forward a new name.
Rumours suggest, 'Chetak Chic' could be the name of the new Bajaj electric scooter. The electric scooter has been spotted testing multiple times in the Indian market. The new Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter comes with a retro-design, with rounded headlamps, curved panels and a host of other features.
Once launched in the Indian market, the Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter will take on the likes of the Okinawa Scooters, Ather Energy, TwentyTwo Motors and Ampere Electric Scooters, among others.
