The TVS Zeppelin was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018. Post to the TVS Zeppelin unveil, the first cruiser from TVS Motor Company got many people talking. From the showcase model, it was evident that the Zeppelin was nowhere nearing a possible launch in India. The TVS Zeppelin also features things, never seen in an Indian motorcycle before.
The TVS Zeppelin concept features a futuristic cruiser design, an eye-catching paint-scheme, and a lot of tech. The TVS Zeppelin even has a front integrated-HD camera to record your ride. Perhaps the most important part trick among the TVS Zeppelin features, could be 'e-Boost', which gives 20% more torque when you need it. These are some of the other TVS Zeppelin top features you should know of:
TVS Zeppelin Design Features
As told earlier, the TVS Zeppelin features a unique and futuristic cruiser design. The low-slung seat, the elongated fuel tank and the front-set footpegs add to the cruiser character of the Zeppelin. The TVS Zeppelin also gets bar-end mirrors and USD forks finished in gold.
The large radiator (probably not functional since its a concept), the neatly-integrated engine compartment and the ‘e-Boost' unit, make the TVS Zeppelin stand apart from other Indian cruisers. The rear profile of the TVS Zeppelin is complete with a wide tyre, a tyre hugger and an LED tail light.
The seats are wide enough to offer a comfortable ride. However, the pillion seat is narrow and less supportive.
TVS Zeppelin Engine Features
The 220cc single-cylinder unit is oil-cooled and fuel-injected. The engine of the TVS Zeppelin also features TVS's patented Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), which helps the motorcycle start faster.
Among the features of the TVS Zeppelin concept, the e-Boost technology surely tops the list. The e-Boost is a 1.2kW renegerative-assist motor coupled to a 48V Li-Ion battery, which makes the TVS Zeppelin concept, a hybrid. The system can deliver 20% extra torque (boost), by maybe a touch of a button.
TVS Zeppelin Safety Features
The TVS Zeppelin comes installed with 300mm front and 240mm rear petal discs. The Zeppelin features dual-channel ABS too. The 110/70R17 and 140/70R15 front and rear Pirelli tubeless tyres offer enough grip.
Other TVS Zeppelin Top Features
The TVS Zeppelin features things not familiar to most Indians. The addition of an integrated HD-camera to record your ride, a ‘bio-key' which is essentially TVS's form of a smart-key, and an instrument-console with cloud connectivity, make the TVS Zeppelin concept highly desirable.
The wheels are tubeless spoked alloys, something seen only in premium cruiser motorcycles. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a belt drive.
Thoughts On The Top Features Of The TVS Zeppelin
The TVS Zeppelin is a concept which packs a lot of cool features. Although it is still in concept form, the fact that it got many people talking is something noteworthy. Will it come to production? As of now, nobody knows. However if it does, it will be one hell of an entry-level cruiser!
