TVS 125cc Scooter (Graphite) Likely To Be Called 'Ntorq 125'
TVS is all set to launch a new 125cc scooter based on the Graphite concept and reportedly to be named as Ntorq 125.
tvs motors is gearing up to launch a new 125cc scooter in India on February 5, 2018. Though the company has not revealed any official details of the new TVS scooter, several reports suggest that the model will be a sports scooter based on the Graphite concept which TVS showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. Now, as per Bikewale, the new TVS 125cc scooter might be named as TVS Ntorq 125.
TVS had showcased another concept scooter with a similarly named Entorq 125 at the Auto Expo 2016. While the Entorq 125 was a maxi scooter, the upcoming TVS Ntorq 125 is expected to be more of the traditional scooter which will rival the likes of Suzuki Access 125 and the sporty Honda Grazia 125.
In the recent teaser video of the TVS scooter, the 12-second video shows T-shaped LED taillight, while the audio reveals a clear sound of the exhaust note of the TVS 125cc scooter. The production version of the Graphite 125 is expected to offer better performance over 110cc powered scooters. The new TVS 125cc scooter is expected to produce close to 11.5bhp of power from its new 125cc engine.

The TVS Ntorq 125 has been spotted several times on Indian roads, and spy pics reveal that the new TVS scooter will boast of a digital instrument cluster, external fuel filler cap, engine kill switch, aluminium foot pegs and sporty grab rails. The new scooter from TVS is also expected to come fitted with petal disc brakes and alloy wheels.
The TVS Ntorq 125 is expected to look sporty featuring an aggressive bodywork with a chiselled front apron along the lines of the Honda Grazia, Yamaha RayZ among others. Going by the spy pics of the TVS 125cc scooter, the rear profile will have a swept-back look.
The TVS Graphite concept was showcased with features such as AMT gearbox with paddle shifters, LED console, clip-on handlebars along with dual-channel ABS. However, we expect TVS to offer none of these features on the TVS Ntorq 125cc scooter.
Thoughts About The New TVS Ntorq 125
While in its concept guise the scooter featured technologically advanced features, the TVS Ntorq 125 is expected to be more traditional than a radical scooter. That said, TVS Motors has been quite aggressive when it comes to introducing sports based bike or scooter. We expect TVS to offer more than just cosmetics on the upcoming TVS scooter in India.
