TVS 125cc (Graphite) Scooter Spotted Testing In India Again
TVS 125cc (Graphite) Scooter Spotted Testing In India Again
TVS' new 125cc scooter has been spotted testing in India again, and this time the scooter, based on the Graphite concept, was caught on video.
The bike manufacturer is currently promoting the newly launched Apache RR 310, but that has not stopped the company from developing new vehicles including this new performance scooter.
The upcoming TVS 125cc scooter is said to be based on the Graphite Concept which was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo and this time around the scooter was spotted fully camouflaged in Mangalore courtesy of Irfan Ahmed Vlogs. The video also reveals the exhaust note of the TVS 125cc scooter, which is quite throaty. The production version is expected to be revealed at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo to be held in February.

The spy images of the TVS 125cc reveal that the scooter will come with a broad range of premium features. The design looks sporty with the headlamp positioned on the front apron and not on the handlebar cowl as seen in the 100cc to 110cc scooters in India.
The TVS 125cc is also seen with LED daytime running lights and LED taillight. The turn indicators are on the handlebar cowl and not the front apron. Additionally, the scooter gets 12-inch alloy wheels and a petal front disc brakes.
Another important aspect is that the new TVS 125cc scooter features a completely digital instrument cluster which could offer information about the speed, odometer, fuel gauge, tachometer, distance-to-empty, service indicator among others.
The rear taillight section has a swept-back look and features dual floating grab rails. When viewed from the back, the scooter looks quite bulky and beefy. The spy images also reveal an external fuel cap, premium quality switchgear, engine kill switch, and aluminium footpegs.
The new TVS scooter is seen with telescopic front suspension with a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. Details are not clear with the engine details of the TVS 125cc, but as the name suggest, the scooter is expected to be powered by a new 125cc unit from TVS. However, TVS could surprise us by launching even a 150cc engine on the same scooter.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The TVS 125cc scooter will rival the likes of the Honda Grazia and the Suzuki Access, while the 150cc powered scooter will compete with the Aprilia SR150. That said, TVS Motors is looking to gain market share especially in the premium scooter segment, and with the host of features seen in the TVS 125cc scooter, TVS might have an excellent product in the market with a competitive price.
