2018 Hero HF Dawn Launched In India; Priced At Rs 37,400

India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2018 HF Dawn commuter motorcycle in India. The 2018 Hero HF Dawn is priced at Rs 37,400 ex-showroom (Odisha). Currently, the 2018 HF Dawn is only available in Odisha, and the motorcycle will be launched across the country in a phased manner.

Hero MotoCorp had discontinued the HF Dawn in India in May 2017 as it was not compliant with the BS-IV emission norms. The 2018 iteration of the commuter motorcycle features a host of cosmetic updates and also gets a BS-IV compliant engine. The overall aesthetics remains unchanged.

The 2018 Hero HF Dawn is offered in two new colour options - Red and Black. The new motorcycle features blacked out engine, tail section, headlight bezel, shock absorbers and rims. The front fender and the upper fork tubes are finished in body colour which enhances the looks of the motorcycle.

In the 2018 edition of the HF Dawn, Hero has blacked out all the chrome or silver parts which include the drum, exhaust, leg guard and the fork. The motorcycle gets minimalistic decals on the fuel tank and side panels. The black grab rail renders a refreshed look to the motorcycle.

Powering the 2018 Hero HF Dawn is the same 97.2cc air-cooled, BS-IV compliant engine producing 8.2bhp and 8.05Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. Being the most affordable commuter motorcycle in the Hero's lineup, the motorcycle is available only with kick start.

The Hero HF Dawn is equipped with telescopic forks up front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 130mm drum at the front and 110mm drum at the rear. The kerb weight of the motorcycle stands at 105kg and get a 9.5-litre fuel tank.

Recently, Hero has also revealed its new commuter motorcycle lineup for the Indian market which included the new Passion Pro, Passion XPro and Super Splendor. All the three motorcycle were revealed with updated features and styling. The 2018 HF Dawn will be the entry-level commuter motorcycle from the stable of Hero.
