Most Expected bike and scooter launches at Auto Expo 2018: We bring you the list of most expected bike and scooter launch and unveils at the Auto Expo 2018.
The Auto Expo 2018 is all set to kick-off on February 7, 2018, and the automakers are geared up to launch and unveil new products in India. Coming to the bikes and scooters, there are not many manufacturers as compared to 2016 Auto Expo, but there a few most expected bikes and scooters launching at the biggest auto show in the country. We bring you the most-expected bike and scooter launches and unveils at the Auto Expo 2018.
Hero Xtreme 200R
Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch the new Xtreme 200R which was recently unveiled in India. The Xtreme 200R is based on the Xtreme 200S concept which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The naked motorcycle draws power from an all-new 200cc air-cooled engine producing 18.1bhp and 17.2Nm of torque.
Hero XPulse
Hero MotoCorp will also showcase the XPulse at the Auto Expo 2018 which was first revealed at the 2017 EICMA motorcycle show. The XPulse will replace the Impulse in the Indian market. The off-road motorcycle will draw power from the same 200cc engine which is employed in the Xtreme 200R.

Honda Premium Commuter Bike
Japanese two-wheeler maker Honda is all geared up to unveil its new premium commuter motorcycle. The company had stated that it would introduce four all-new models in 2017-18 and the fourth product will be a new commuter motorcycle. There are no details revealed as of now, but we expect it to feature an all-new design and premium features. The new bike could feature a 125cc engine.
Suzuki Burgman Street
Suzuki will launch its new premium scooter, the Burgman Street at the Auto Expo 2018. The Burgman is already sold in several global markets with 125cc, 200cc, 250cc, 400cc and 600cc engine options. But the India-spec Burgman is expected to feature the same 125cc engine deployed in the Access scooter.
Yamaha R15 V3.0
Yamaha will launch the new R15 V3.0 fully faired motorcycle at Auto Expo 2018. The R15 V3.0 has been the most anticipated motorcycle in the entry-level performance bike segment. The new iteration of the R15 features a new design and an all-new 155.1cc liquid-cooled engine producing 19bhp. The bookings for the R15 V3.0 has already commenced in the country.
Yamaha R3
Yamaha had discontinued R3 in the Indian market in 2017 as the motorcycle was not compliant with the BS-IV emission norms. Now, Yamaha is all set to introduce the new 2018 R3 with a BS-IV compliant 321cc parallel-twin engine producing 41bhp and 29.6Nm of torque. The new R3 will also get new colour options.
BMW G 310 R
BMW Motorrad will unveil the G 310 R naked motorcycle in India at Auto Expo 2018 alongside other motorcycles. The G 310 R will draw power from the 313cc engine producing 33bhp and 28Nm of torque. BMW will also showcase the G 310 GS and the bigger adventure bikes such as F 750 GS and F 850 GS.
TVS Apache RTR 160
TVS Motor Company will launch the new-gen Apache RTR 160 at the Auto Expo 2018. The new Apache RTR 160 will borrow its design cues from its elder sibling, the Apache RTR 200 4V. The all-new Apache RTR 160 will be equipped with the same 160cc engine which is seen on the currently sold model. But there might be a slight bump in the power and torque figures as compared to the current-gen model.
Aprilia SR 125
Piaggio will introduce the Aprilia SR 125 sporty scooter at the Auto Expo 2018. The 125cc scooter has been already spotted at dealerships and follows the same design language of the SR 150. The scooter is expected to draw power from the existing 125cc engine which does its duty on the Vespa VXL/SXL.
UM Renegade Thor
UM Motorcycles will unveil India's first electric cruiser, the Renegade Thor at Auto Expo 2018. The UM Renegade Thor is likely to be equipped with a 30kW electric motor with a peak power output of 50bhp and a riding range of 150km.
Emflux Model 1
Bangalore-based startup firm Emflux Motors will launch India's first electric superbike, the Model 1 at the Auto Expo 2018. The electric superbike will rival the 600cc-650cc bikes with a top speed of 200km/h. The Emflux Model 1 will be powered by a liquid-cooled AC induction motor producing 67bhp of power and 84Nm of torque.
