Kawasaki Ninja 650 blue colour launched in India. The new Kawasaki Ninja 650 in blue colour is priced at Rs 5.33 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The previously offered black colour has been discontinued in India. Bookings for the new Kawasaki Ninja 650 blue colour are open and will be sold in limited numbers.
Apart from the colour update, Kawasaki's entry-level premium motorcycle remains the same and continues to draw power from the 649cc, parallel-twin engine producing 67.2bhp @ 8,000rpm and 65.7Nm of torque @ 6,500rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Kawasaki Ninja 650 measures 790mm in seat height, 140mm of ground clearance, 1410mm wheelbase and 196kg kerb weight remains unchanged. The motorcycle features a digital ignition and electric start.
Braking duties are carried out by a dual 300mm petal disc brakes at the front and 220mm single disc brake at the rear. ABS is standard. As for the suspension, the Ninja 650 features 41 mm telescopic front fork, while at the rear is a horizontal back-link suspension with adjustable preload.
Apart from the new Ninja 650 blue colour model, the motorcycle is also available as ABS KRT edition, launched in 2017, is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.49 lakh. The Ninja 650 KRT is a special edition which has got inspired colour and graphics from Kawasaki Racing Team.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors said "We take a lot of pride in different colour combinations, though the green and black is our signature style. The Ninja 650 in black received a very good response in the Indian market. Now we are expecting the same for blue Ninja 650 ABS."
The new Kawasaki Ninja 650 in blue colour is the first launch of 2018 for the company. The bike in the new colour looks quite brilliant and sporty compared to the black colour available previously. The Ninja 650 competes with the likes of Honda CBR 650F and the Benelli TNT 600i.
Kawasaki ended its alliance with Bajaj Auto, and since then it has been concentrating on increasing its dealerships in India. Kawasaki is expected to showcase its newest offerings, the Ninja 400, ZX-10R SE at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018.
