The Hero Xtreme 200R was unveiled at the end of January 2018, and was also showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. The Xtreme 200R features an all-new 200cc platform from Hero MotoCorp, and can be seen as a successor to the original CBZ Xtreme.
The Hero Xtreme 200R comes with a funky graphics, a muscular fuel tank, blacked-out elements and LED lights. The new Hero Xtreme is the first 200cc offering from Hero MotoCorp. The upcoming Hero XPulse will be the second motorcycle, using the same platform. That said, here are the Hero XPulse top features you should know!
Hero Xtreme 200R Design Features
The Xtreme 200R features a large headlamp with LED pilot lamps. The visor is relatively small, but is neatly integrated into the cowl. The sharp design of the mirrors matches well with the overall looks of the Hero Xtreme 200R.
The muscular fuel tank, with an even more embossing pair of shrouds, adds a lot to the bulk of the Hero Xtreme 200R. The Xtreme 200R features a traditional single step-up seat which gives adequate comfort to both the rider and the pillion. The ‘vortex-shaped' 5-spoke alloy wheels however, do not match everyone's tastes.
The tail section of the Hero Xtreme 200R features a sharp and pointed design with an LED tail light. The split-grab rails are in perfect alignment with the pointy tail section. The clear-lens turn signals go well with the other blacked-out components.
Hero Xtreme 200R Engine Features
The new 200cc engine of the Hero Xtreme 200R comes with a balancer shaft. Hero MotoCorp claims that the Xtreme 200R will have very low vibrations due to this addition.
Hero Xtreme 200R Riding Features
The Hero Xtreme 200R features 37mm front forks and a rear monoshocksuspension. These elements, in combination with the 17-inch alloys, give a decent commuting experience.
The instrument console is a large analogue+digital unit. The blue-backlit LCD display is large and offers good visibility even under the bright sunlight.
Hero Xtreme 200R Safety Features
The Xtreme 200R gets a 276mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc. The motorcycle also gets a single-channel ABS at the front, as an option.
Thoughts On The Hero Xtreme 200R Top Features
The Hero Xtreme 200R, being based on an entirely new platform, has been designed and developed with a lot of thought. However, the 200cc segment is dominated by the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, the TVS Apache RTR 200, and even the KTM Duke 200. If the Hero Xtreme 200R features enough, is something to be understood from its sales figures.
