Hero MotoCorp Begins Deliveries Of The Xtreme 200R
The Hero Xtreme 200R deliveries have begun. The motorcycle is available in eight North Eastern states, however, the company is yet to officially launch the Xtreme 200R across India.
Hero MotoCorp has started deliveries of their 200cc, entry-level sportbike, the Xtreme 200R. Deliveries of the Hero Xtreme 200R has commenced in North East India.
The company is yet to officially launch the Xtreme 200R across India. However, the motorcycle is already available in eight North-Eastern states: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, and West Bengal. The Xtreme 200R is expected to be launched in other parts of the country, in a phased manner.

Hero MotoCorp has already announced the prices of the motorcycle on their official website. The company has also announced the booking amount for the motorcycle at Rs 5,000.
According to the website, the ex-showroom prices of the motorcycle is Rs 88,000 across the North East Indian states. This makes it the most affordable 200cc motorcycles in India.

However, the Hero Xtreme 200R is more commuter-based, than its sportier rivals in the segment. Rivals for the new Hero Xtreme 200R include the TVS Apache RTR 200 and the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
The Hero Xtreme 200R comes powered by a 199.6cc, four-stroke, single cylinder engine. It produces 18bhp and 17.1Nm of torque. The engine is further mated to a standard five-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle also comes standard with disc brakes on both wheels, along with single-channel ABS. The Xtreme 200R gets 276mm and 220mm front and rear disc, respectively.
The motorcycle rides on a pair of 17-inch alloy wheels. While the suspension is handled by hydraulic telescopic front forks and a mono-shock at the rear.
The Hero Xtreme 200R is available in a choice of five colour schemes: Heavy Grey with Orange, Black with Sports Red, Sports Red, Panther Black with Force Silver and Techno Blue.
Other features on the Xtreme 200R offering include aggressively designed tank shrouds, LED pilot lamps, LED tail lights, semi-digital instrument cluster and dual-tone body graphics.

The Xtreme 200R offering from Hero MotoCorp is a crucial product for the company. Hero hopes to capture the premium motorcycle segment in India, with the Xtreme 200R. However, the motorcycle is more of a commuter-based product, compared to its sportier rivals in the segment.
