BMW Motorrad has launched the G 310 R in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 2.99 lakh. The BMW G 310 R features a premium design like any other BMW Motorrad model.
The G 310 R was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 along with its adventure version, the G 310 GS. BMW Motorrad claims that the BMW G 310 R has the genes of its larger sibling – the S 1000 R. Here are the top features of the BMW G 310 R!
BMW-Design And Crafting
The G 310 R features a typical BMW Motorrad Design. With the golden USD front forks, the 17-inch 5-spoke cast-aluminium wheels, and the street fighter design, the BMW G 310 R is quite a looker. The BMW G 310 R is available in three colours - Cosmic Black (shown), Strato Blue Metallic and Pearl White Metallic. The Pearl White Metallic shade with the ‘M' stripes, suits the BMW G 310 R, the best.
The Engine
The 313cc reverse-inclined single-cylinder engine produces 34bhp @ 9500rpm and 28Nm @ 7500rpm. The advantage of being reverse-inclined (top of the engine tilted towards the rear) is that, the entire drive-system (transmission-chain-wheel) can be brought forward, hence reducing the wheelbase.
Multi-Function Digital Display
The digital instrument console of the BMW G 310 R displays all the vital information you would expectand is neatly integrated on top of the headlamp. The console also shows the clock, gear position, coolant temperature, side stand indicator and has an ABS warning light.
No Compromises On Safety
The BMW G 310 R comes equipped with a 300mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, held by Bybre calipers (4-piston at the front and single-piston at the rear). ABS comes standard on the BMW G 310 R.
Accessories To Make It Truly Yours
The BMW G 310 R can be opted with some exclusive accessories. This mainly includes a 29-litre top box, a luggage rack and LED turn signals.
Thoughts On The BMW G 310 R Top Features
The BMW G 310 R is the cheapest BMW Motorrad product available today. But, as a motorcycle, the cheapest BMW is still a premium offering. Being a compact and affordable package from a brand like BMW Motorrad, the G 310 R will be a hit in the Indian market.
