Yamaha Launches WR450F Rally Replica

Yamaha Racing has launched the WR450F Rally Replica motorcycle.

Yamaha Racing has introduced the Official WR450F Rally Replica motorcycle. It is the replica of the rally motorcycle used by Xavier de Soultrait to claim victory at the Merzouga Rally 2017.

The WR450F Rally Replica has been developed in partnership with Rally Raid parts and accessories firm DRAG'ON. The collaboration also gives an opportunity to the owners of the motorcycle to take part in the 2018 Dakar Rally.

The Yamaha WR450F Rally Replica is powered by a 449cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. Yamaha has not revealed the power and torque figures.

The rally replica motorcycle features upside down forks at the front and link-type monoshock suspension at the rear. The engine sits on the semi-double cradle frame. Being an off-road motorcycle, it gets a long suspension travel of 310mm up front and 318mm at the rear.

Apart from that the motorcycle gets spoke wheels, off-road-spec tyres, 31-litre fuel tank and disc brakes at both the ends. The motorcycle is equipped with the Akrapovic exhaust system.

The owners of the WR450F Rally Replica also have an opportunity to participate in the 2018 Dakar Rally. DRAG'ON will offer the Rally Race Service which includes transporting official stock spare parts and ground mechanical support.
