India Yamaha Registers A Consistent Growth In February
India Yamaha Motor continued its upward growth in sales with 20 percent increase in the domestic market during the month of February 2017 as compared the same period last year.
India Yamaha Motor has registered sales growth of 20 percent in the domestic market for the month of February 2017 when compared to the same period last year.

The Japanese company sold 68,095 units (including Nepal) in 2017, compared to 56,960 units (including Nepal) in 2016. In January 2017, Yamaha launched its all new powerful 249cc motorcycle FZ25 in India at Rs 1,19,500 ex-showroom (Delhi) to further boost its share in the premium segment.

The company said that the growth in sales is attributed to its innovative efforts, ongoing customer-centric activities and exciting product line-up.

The company has been focusing on expanding to tier-II and III cities, to reach out to larger groups of the target population and that has been instrumental in boosting its sales.

Commenting on the company's performance, Mr Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, "In 2017, Yamaha continues to grow with a surge in February 2017 sales while concurrently ensuring Government of India guidelines to introduce BS IV compliant models for all products."

He further added, "Yamaha's robust business plans and strategic customer engagement programs are envisioned to sustain the consistent growth in future. Yamaha launched FZ25, a 249cc Mid-class Street Fighter in January this year which received remarkable appreciations from the bikers' community. The company is en route to achieve 1 million in 2017 as well, through exciting products and by expanding its 3S network."
