Yamaha Fazer 250 India Launch Details Revealed
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has been testing the Fazer 250 on the Indian roads for quite some time.
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has been testing the Fazer 250 on the Indian roads for quite some time. The spy pics of the motorcycle flooded the internet a few days ago.
Now, TOI reports that the Fazer 250 will enter the production by August 2017 and hit the showrooms by October. The new sports tourer motorcycle is based on the FZ25.
The overall design is identical to the FZ25 except for the front fairing which offers better wind protection. The motorcycle features the same LED headlamp and instrument cluster.
The Yamaha Yamaha Fazer 250 draws power from the existing 250cc single cylinder, oil-cooled engine producing 20bhp and 20Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.
Apart from that, the FZ 250 is equipped with disc brakes at both the ends. ABS might be skipped as the FZ25 also doesn't get the safety system. When launched in India, the FZ 250 will lock horns with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and Honda CBR 250R.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The 250cc motorcycle segment in India has been rejuvenated with the launch of Yamaha FZ25 and the KTM Duke 250. Now one more motorcycle is joining the league, and the battle will get intense in the Indian market.
