Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi is concerned about Honda's wet pace in Spanish Grand Prix. Honda's were lot quicker in Jerez in the wet condition.
Yamaha MotoGP factory team rider Valentino Rossi said that he is concerned about the pace of Honda in the wet weather conditions. Honda was fastest in the practise session of the Spanish Grand Prix.

Honda filled the top four places led by Dani Pedrosa in the practise session at Jerez on a wet Friday morning. Maverick Vinales was the fastest Yamaha rider in tenth position, and Rossi was further six places down.

Rossi said, "We suffered a bit, we didn't find the right setting - the [2016] bike on the wet, everything was more natural, more the . It looks like we have to work a bit more in those conditions, I was not fast enough."

Rossi stated that the problem on the motorcycle was similar to the dry conditions. He stated that he was not able to enter the corner fast enough and had wheel spin on acceleration.

Rossi added, "The performance of the Honda makes us quite worried today, because in the wet like in Argentina in practice and qualifying they have found something better than last year."

Earlier this week, Yamaha tested in Le Mans which also included the wet run. But Rossi states that the resurfaced French race track hid the problems of the motorcycle. Vinales too agreed that Yamaha has to work on wet set-up.
