Indian two-wheeler manufacturer tvs motor Company has announced the sales figures for July 2017.
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer tvs motor Company has announced the sales figures for July 2017. The company recorded a growth of 9 percent by selling 2,71,171 units.
Total two-wheeler sales registered a growth of 9.7 percent with sales of 2,63,336 units in July 2017 as opposed to 2,40,042 units in July 2016. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 6.2 percent with 2,19,396 unit sales.
TVS sold 92,378 scooters in July 2017 compared to the 68,033 units in July 2016 and recorded a growth of 35.8 percent. Motorcycle segment witnessed a growth of 15.1 percent with 1,09,427 unit sales.

TVS exported 50,957 units in July 2017 as opposed to the 40,192 units in the same period last year and registered a growth of 26.8 percent. The two-wheeler exports stood at 43,940 units and witnessed a growth of 31.4 percent.
Three-wheeler of the company registered sales of 7,835 units in July 2017 as against 7,960 units in July 2016.

Like several other automakers, TVS had passed the GST benefits to the customers which helped in the sales. The scooter segment recorded the highest growth in July 2017, and the exports also witnessed a healthy growth.
