Spy Pics: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V With FI & ABS Spotted At Dealership

Earlier it was reported that TVS would introduce the FI and ABS variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V in India by March or April 2017. And now the FI variant of the motorcycle has been spotted at the dealership.

The main reason behind the delay in the launch of the FI model is because of the high demand for the Apache 200 4V in the export market. Currently, the FI and ABS variants are exported to the foreign markets.

But now, TVS has ramped up the production, and the FI variants will be launched in the Indian market. The newly launched models will also comply with the new BS-IV emission norms.

The fully loaded Apache RTR 200 4V comes with fuel injection technology and dual-channel ABS with optional Pirelli tyres. Other prominent features are digital instrument console, clip-on handlebars and split seats.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V draws power from a 197.75cc single cylinder 4-valve engine coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The carburettor variant produces 20bhp and 18.1Nm of torque, whereas the FI version pumps out 21bhp of power and the torque remains the same.

In 2016, TVS announced that the FI variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V would cost Rs 1.15 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi), but a hike in price is expected when the motorcycle is launched this year.

The currently sold carb variant of the motorcycle is BS-III compliant, whereas the FI version will comply with the BS-IV emission norms. It is expected that TVS will also update the carb variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V to meet the new emission standards.
