Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company is gearing up for the launch of its first fully faired motorcycle, the Apache RR 310S. Now, the patent image of the motorcycle has been leaked on the internet.
The patent image reveals the production version of the Apache RR 310S. The design of the motorcycle is similar to the test mules spotted.
The motorcycle features a large fairing, twin headlight setup and windscreen to avoid windblast. The sides of the fairing near the suspension area features triangular crease which also reveals the frame.
The Apache RR 310S is based on the G 310 R, BMW's entry-level naked motorcycle. The fully faired motorcycle draws power from a 313cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine producing 34bhp and 28Nm of torque.
The Apache RR 310S features upside down forks up front and monoshock suspension setup at the rear. The motorcycle is likely to get ABS as an option. The Apache RR 310S will be the fastest TVS motorcycle to be produced till date.
The motorcycle has been spotted several times testing on the Indian roads. The riding posture is comfortable, tailored for both touring and city commutes. The Apache RR 310S gets a fully digital instrument cluster with a vertical display.
TVS has stated that the Apache RR 310S is the result of its vast experience in racing. The motorcycle is likely to be launched by September 2017 with a price tag of around Rs 2 lakh ex-showroom.
When launched the Apache RR 310S will lock horns with the likes of KTM RC390, Honda CBR 250R and Yamaha YZF R3.
