Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS is gearing up for the launch of its fully faired motorcycle, the Apache RR 310S. Ahead of that the motorcycle has been spied up close.
GaadiWaadi has spotted the Apache RR 310S, and the new spy images reveal the digital instrument cluster of the motorcycle. The vertical layout of the console looks unique.
TVS showcased the motorcycle at the 2016 Auto Expo as a concept model named as Akula. The overall design elements on the motorcycle have not changed much, and only a few bits and pieces have been modified.
The front end of the TVS Apache RR 310S features tall windscreen; twin projector LED headlamps and USD forks. The rear section gets funky looking LED tail light.
The motorcycle is likely to be launched with ABS as a standard feature. TVS is expected to launch the Apache RR 310S by July or August 2017.
Powering the fully faired motorcycle is a 313cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine churning out 34bhp and 28Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW Motorrad has developed the engine.
The TVS Apache RR 310S will be produced at the company's Hosur plant in India. The motorcycle is likely to carry a price tag of around Rs 1.75 lakh to Rs 2 lakh.
When launched in India, the TVS Apache RR 310S will lock horns with the likes of KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Yamaha R3. If TVS gets the pricing right, then the motorcycle will be a bang for the buck.
