TVS Apache RR 310 Preview — What To Expect From Tomorrow's Launch

tvs motors will launch its new Apache RR 310 full faired sports bike in India tomorrow. The Apache RR 310 is TVS' first motorcycle developed in collaboration with BMW.
TVS' new flagship motorcycle has been in development for almost two years now and will be officially launched on December 6, 2017. More details of the Apache RR 310 will be announced at the bike's launch tomorrow. Until then here's the TVS Apache RR 310 launch preview and everything we know so far:
Launch & Pricing
TVS Motors will take the wraps off the Apache RR 310 in Chennai at 11 a.m. on December 6, 2017. This event can be live streamed on its website www.tvsapache.com.
Price of the TVS Apache RR 310 is predicted to be in the range of Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 2 lakh ex-showroom. The Apache RR 310's direct rival, the KTM RC 390 retails at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.36 lakh, TVS will be looking to undercut the RC 390 with a competitive price.
Design
The recent teaser image along with several spy images of the Apache RR 310 reveals that the bike is designed to ride through the city streets as well as the highway with ease. The test mules of the RR 310 indicates that the bike receives a slightly more relaxed riding position, competent enough to hit a race track as well as long journeys.
The front profile of the Apache RR 310 looks sharp with dual projector lamps and LED daytime running lights. The hot red shade looks attractive and so does the terrific devil horn-shaped LED taillight. The 'TVS Racing' and the new moniker in graphics add a sporty flair to the motorcycle.
Engine & Performance
The new TVS Apache RR 310 will be powered by the BMW-engineered 313cc single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine. The Apache RR 310 is the third bike to employ the BMW-spec engine after the BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS bikes, which is expected to be launched in India in 2018.
The single-cylinder unit is expected to churn out 34bhp and 28Nm of torque, similar to the power output of the BMW G 310 R, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Apache RR 310 is expected to sprint from 0 - 60kph in under 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 165kph.

Features & Gadgets
Apart from the above mentioned LED dual projector headlamps and taillights, the Apache RR 310 will feature a fully digital instrument console, disc brakes with dual channel ABS on both ends and a host of other features.
Suspension Duties
The TVS Apache RR 310's suspension duties will be carried out by Kayaba's 41mm upside down forks upfront and mono shock at the rear.
TVS Apache RR 310 Rivals
The new Apache RR 310 will lock horns with the KTM RC 390, Ninja 300, Bajaj Dominar and Benelli 302R in the Indian market. However, in terms of pricing and style, the RR 310's immediate rival will be the KTM RC 390.
