One of the most anticipated launches of the year, the TVS Apache RR 310 was introduced with a price tag of Rs 2.05 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi), while the bike's on-road price is around Rs 2.30 lakh. With the launch of the RR310, tvs motors entered the entry-level sports bike segment in the country.
During the launch, TVS said that initially, the RR 310 would be available at select dealerships across India, later the bike will be available across all TVS showrooms in the country. While bookings have begun, the test rides are yet to begin as the bike is yet to reach the dealerships and we expect the test ride bikes to be available in a couple of days. TVS has stated that deliveries of the Apache RR 310 will commence from January 2018.
The Apache RR 310 is the first bike from TVS Motors in the entry-level premium motorcycle segment in India. TVS has co-developed the RR 310 with BMW, but it is restricted only to the engine. The design and development of the Apache RR 310 are wholly managed and handled by TVS Motors.
The TVS Apache RR 310 is powered by BMW-engineered 312.3cc single-cylinder engine churning out 34bhp and 28Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The unit propels the Apache RR 310 to 100km/h in 2.63 seconds from standstill with a top speed of nearly 160km/h.
The RR 310 features Kayaba suspension and the front and mono shock at the rear. The braking duties of the Apache RR 310 are carried out by Kayaba 300mm disc at the front and 200mm at the rear.
The motorcycle comes shod with Michelin Pilot Street Radial with a profile size of 110/70-17 at the front and 150/60-17 at the rear.
