TVS Akula 310 Spotted Testing In Bengaluru; Clear Images Reveals Digital Instrument Cluster
Powering the Akula 310 will be a 310cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 34bhp of power and will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer TVS is all geared up for the launch of its full faired track-spec motorcycle Akula 310. The new model is expected to be launched in the country by March this year. Ahead of its launch, the motorcycle was spotted several times.
The latest spy images were posted on the internet by xBhp and the model was spotted near TVS manufacturing facility in Hosur, Bengaluru. The manufacturer is developing the motorcycle at a faster pace to make it market-ready soon. The new images reveal fully digital instrument console.
Rivals including Yamaha and KTM has recently launched FZ25 and RC390. The spotted model was heavily camouflaged. ‘Akula' is Russian for shark and the manufacturer claims that the design of the motorcycle is inspired from the shark.
Powering the Akula 310 will be a 310cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 34bhp of power and will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This is the same 310cc engine that you can find on BMW G 310R.
The motorcycle will feature twin LED headlamp and disc brake at both ends with Anti-Lock Braking System. The model also features shark inspired tail lamp section.
The Akula 310 is expected to be priced at around Rs 2 lakh. The motorcycle will compete against the like Yamaha R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC390 in the supersport segment of the Indian market.
