Triumph Motorcycles Completes Four Years In The Indian Market

Triumph made its India entry when the premium motorcycle segment was just beginning to grow. But since then, the segment has come a long way and has seen rapid growth with the aggressive new launches.

Triumph was very aggressive in its product strategy in India and has introduced its global lineup in the country ranging from the Bonneville to the Tigers. In 2017, the company launched the much anticipated Street Triple, Street Scrambler and Bonneville Bobber.

MD of Triumph Motorcycles, Vimal Sumbly said, "It has been a delightful ride for us in India with a great response from not only our customers and partners but also the entire riding fraternity who share our passion and enthusiasm."

This year, Triumph also made a major strategic decision by collaborating with Bajaj Auto to produce motorcycles in the 300cc to 500cc segment. The partnership will witness Triumph provide its R&D and technology to Bajaj to manufacture affordable motorcycles in India.

Apart from that Triumph will also be supplying its race engines Moto2 from 2019 The 765cc inline, three-cylinder engine will be heavily tuned to meet the race requirements. The company has already completed rigorous testing of the race-prepped engine.

With the new products being regularly introduced, the company has been catering the booming premium motorcycle segment in the country. In 2018, Triumph is expected to launch the all-new Tiger 800 and 1200, new Speed Triple and the Speedmaster in India.
