Triumph To Introduce Four New Motorcycles In India; Here’s When
British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph is all set to introduce new products in the Indian market in 2018.
British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph is all set to introduce new products in the Indian market in 2018. The company has revealed that it will launch at least four new motorcycles in the country.
In 2018, Triumph is focussing on the smaller cities of India and expects them to account for around 15 percent of the total sales in the country.
MD of Triumph Motorcycles India, Vimal Sumbly said, "Our target for next year is that 10-15 percent of our total sales should come from tier-II cities." He also said that the current contribution from smaller cities stand at 7-8 percent. The company is aiming to end 2017 with a sales volume of around 1,300 units.

Currently, apart from the metro cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata, Triumph has dealerships in Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Indore, Pune, Jaipur, Kochi, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad and Jaipur.
Sumbly also said that Triumph will expand the dealership network in the country and will have 17 showrooms by March 2018 from the current 14 dealerships. The company is targeting to have 20 retail outlets by the end of 2018.
Talking about the new products for India, Sumbly stated that the company would introduce its Classic Cruiser and new Adventure range in the first and second quarter of 2018. The Classic Cruiser is likely to be the Bonneville Speedmaster, and the Adventure range will come in the form of new Tiger and Explorer range.
Currently, Triumph assembles 80 percent of its products at its Manesar facility which includes Bonneville, Street Triple, and the Tiger 800 range. In 2018 the local assembly will be increased to 90 percent. But some products under the niche segment will continue to be sold as completely built units.

Now, the company is planning to introduce four new motorcycles in 2018 in different segments. We expect the new Bonneville Speedmaster and the new range of Tiger and Explorer adventure motorcycle to be launched in India in 2018.
