Triumph Bonneville Bobber Launched In India For Rs 9.09 Lakh — The Modern Classic
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber launched in India, the company’s first factory custom that is all set to take the term ‘classic’ to the next level.
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber launched in India for Rs 9.09 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) is a classic motorcycle that features modern components. The Bonneville Bobber is based on the Triumph T120, but uses modified components, including the chassis.
What one will notice first is the classic ‘Bobber' design in its purest British form. The Bonneville Bobber makes away with its pillion seat and the rear suspension is under the rider's saddle.
Although Triumph does offer a lot of customisable parts for its lineup of motorcycles, the Bobber is a pure factory custom. The Bonneville Bobber takes a completely new design language.
Speaking of the modern tech the motorcycle boasts, the Bonneville Bobber comes with traction control, ABS, rider modes (road and rain), and ride-by-wire technology. The throttle bodies too, are concealed to look like carburetors.
Coming to the heart of the newly launched Triumph Bonneville Bobber, a 1200cc, liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine does the duty, producing 76bhp and 106Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Triumph claims the Bonneville Bobber weighs 228kg and returns a mileage of 24km/l. That's pretty impressive considering the cubic capacity of the engine.
The British manufacturer also offers a host of accessories to further customise the Bobber. Triumph offers 150 accessories for the motorcycle, one of which is the high ape hanger bars.
The new Triumph Bonneville Bobber will take on the American-made motorcycles sold in India such as Harley-Davidson and Indian.
