Suzuki is all set to launch a new motorcycle, the Intruder 150 in the Indian market.
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki is all set to enter the cruiser motorcycle segment with the introduction of the Intruder 150.
The images of the Suzuki Intruder 150 were recently leaked on the internet revealing the motorcycle itself. Suzuki is yet to announce the technical details of the new motorcycle. But here are the important things you should know about the new Intruder 150.
Design And Style
The Suzuki Intruder 150 will be the first small-capacity cruiser motorcycle to be introduced in the Indian market from the stable of Japanese two-wheeler maker. The new motorcycle borrows its design cues from its elder sibling, the Intruder M1800R.
In the South American markets, Suzuki already retails a small-capacity cruiser known as the GZ150. It was expected that the GZ150 would be launched in India, but Suzuki decided to develop an all-new motorcycle inspired by the Intruder M1800R.

The leaked images reveal the overall design of the Intruder 150. The cruiser motorcycle is a looker with its butch design. The bulbous design of the Intruder 150 features the signature headlight design and muscular fuel tank with extensions. The Intruder badging on the tank adds to the premium feel of the motorcycle.
Features
The new Suzuki Intruder 150 is equipped with premium features such as the LED projector headlamp, twin port chrome exhaust and 17-inch black alloy wheels. Apart from that the motorcycle also gets a small visor above the instrument cluster, rear fender and bucket-style seat.
Engine And Specifications
The Suzuki Intruder 150 will draw power from the existing 154.9cc air-cooled, single cylinder engine producing 14bhp and 14Nm of torque. The same engine is deployed in the Gixxer, but the Intruder 150 develops better low and mid-range torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.
The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both the ends. The leaked brochure also reveals that the Intruder 150 will be offered with an optional single-channel ABS similar to the Gixxer SF.
Rivals
Being a 150cc motorcycle, the Suzuki Intruder 150 competes with the Bajaj Avenger 150, the sole offering in the segment. But with the premium features and design, the Intruder 150 will also lock horns with the Avenger 220 Cruise.
